Jenny Lay-Flurrie, chief accessibility officer for Microsoft, will discuss how the company has a model of competitive, integrated employment for people with disabilities, as part of the Harkin Institute’s Fall 2020 Sussman Lecture series.
Lay-Flurrie’s presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 16 and will take place over Zoom. Lay-Flurrie will discuss the integral role Microsoft tools and software have played in the shift to remote work opportunities for employees and the company’s commitment to competitive, integrated employment for people with disabilities.
Lay-Flurrie leads many Microsoft initiatives to empower people with disabilities both inside and outside the company.
In 2014, she was recognized by the White House as a Disability Employment Champion of Change and was one of Fast Company’s most Creative People in Business in 2017. The lecture is free and open to the public but registration is required.
