Argentina launches seven programs that will benefit people with disabilities

Among the approved programs are the Decentralized Fund for Technical Assistance, Institutional Transportation and Support for High Performance Athletes with Disabilities and Paralympics. The National Disability Agency announced the launch of seven new programs, including one on technical aids and another to support high-performance athletes and Paralympians.

The president of the Coordinating Committee of Programs, Claudio Espósito, explained that the programs “constitute a resounding change in the way of accompanying the person with disabilities, understanding that the different problems that affect their daily lives must be addressed and responded to in order to eliminate all physical, cultural, communicational, and social barrier ”.

The Support Program for People with Disabilities, the Strengthening of Rehabilitation Networks, the Strengthening of Inclusive Productive Units and the Improvement of Institutional Infrastructure will also be in force.

The presentation of projects may be carried out from September 1 to October 30, the agency said.
