The National Disability Secretariat (SENADIS) announced that it will train online 25 entrepreneurs through the Fami-Empresa program. The trainings, which will last for 30 hours, will cover the topics of business management, development and business plan, exchange of ideas, monitoring processes, among others with the support of other institutions.
After taking the training, SENADIS will grant them a subsidy as seed capital, to be able to start their business. According to the entity, “its purpose is to achieve the insertion of the beneficiaries into the country’s productive system, the improvement of the quality of life and the strengthening of the family, interacting with the instructors for a period of five hours a day.”
“This new training is important, because it is the first to be carried out including technological tools with participants and instructors, it is a new experience where the issue of providing tools to train for economic reactivation for people with disabilities and family members is reinvented.” Said Miguel Atencio, director in charge of the Senadis.
The participants were selected after a process that involves filling out the application at the entity’s Services and Orientation offices.
