6-year-old boy with Cystic Fibrosis recovers from COVID-19

A 6-year-old boy with cystic fibrosis who had tested positive for coronavirus declared he has recovered in a Facebook video.

“I’m a cystic fibrosis warrior and I beat COVID-19,” said Joseph Bostain.

“Today Joseph can tell you how he is doing himself!!.  At the end of the video, the young boy smiled and flexed his right bicep at the end.

Joseph Bostain had come down with a fever and cough and was quarantined in the family’s home, according to his mother Sabrina Bostain. He was taken to the hospital shortly after where he was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Sabrina had posted about her son’s condition on March 19, after it was confirmed that he caught the deadly virus. The mother asked her friends for prayers and also talked about the importance of social distancing. By March 28, his fever was gone entirely.

On April 1, the mother shared the new video in which she asks her son to give an update on how he feels.

“We appreciate everything and everyone,” Bostain said. “We are happy that Joseph is well and just wanted to say thank you!!”
