A total of 157,451 students and 2,163 teachers from 1,717 schools throughout the State territory participated in the 36th school year of the ONCE Social Group, where they designed flags and anthems for the inclusion of people with disabilities in Madrid.

Under the slogan ONCE upon a time. The look of tod@s, this educational awareness programme has led to actively working in the classroom to change attitudes, to fully respect coexistence and to meditate on issues related to their nearest social environment.

In this edition, the contest involved designing a flag and anthem for inclusion and social transformation, elements that will be key in June as they will coincide with the World Blindness Summit Madrid 2020.

It will be an assembly that will be attended by more than 1,500 blind people from all over the world who will make Madrid the world’s capital of blindness, and in which the winning schoolchildren and teachers will have a very relevant role with their work.

The jury was responsible for assessing the creativity, quality, message and accessibility of the works presented that will participate at the provincial, regional and national levels.
