The Moscow art centre “Mom’s Theater” will hold a charity show on March 19 of the play “Dear Diary” about people with vision disabilities who have achieved success in art and sports, project organisers reported.
The purpose of the performance: by the example of famous personalities with disabilities, to show that if you have a goal and talent, then you can conquer any peaks. The inclusive interactive performance “Dear Diary”, tells about great people who have achieved success in culture and sports. Louis Braille, Ray Charles, Claude Monet, Andrei Polukhin and Eduard Asadov are people who, despite everything, were able to achieve stunning results!
The performance takes place in a format that allows viewers to become equal participants in the process, to fully engage in the figurative world of the play thanks to tactile, factory and auditory sensations. Each viewer will try to write a picture by touch, read with his fingers, describe what is depicted in the relief drawing using only tactile sensations, guess which animal in front of him is only in its shape and much more. The play “Dear Diary” (authors – D. Vitan and V. Gaponenko) answers important questions in the life of every person: What can I do? What talent do I have? What good is the world for me? Can I achieve something contrary to circumstances?
The performance will be interesting not only for people with vision disabilities, but also for sighted people, as they will be able to immerse themselves in another reality – reality by touch. This opportunity will give them a different look at the world around them.
