Melissa Escamilla wants to be the first gymnast trainer in Yucatan, Mexico and pass on its 25 years of experience successful sport career. Melissa has received many awards in its home State and she says his new role makes her feel happy, enchanted and committed, qualities she seeks to transmit to her colleagues during training, reports EL Democrata.

With extensive experience in gymnastics, Melissa begins with this new facet of her sports career, in a process she has started with her colleague Ana Maria Castro Diaz, with whom she works supporting her and following her instructions in each training.

She’s currently training to participate at the US National Games held in Atlanta, Georgia, from May 2 to 5, an event organized by Special Olympics International. Because of her great talent, she is expected to climb the podium, demonstrating once again why she is one of the best in special rhythmic gymnastics.

The multi-medalist athlete is also supporting Young Athlete, a Special Olympics International’s innovative program for infants from zero to seven years of age, where they learn recreational activities aimed at sports and towards a specific disability. She also collaborates in the initiation classes and with the regular girls in the Solidarity and Paralympic Gyms.
